1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your preferences, keep you signed in where applicable, and measure how visitors use the site. Similar technologies (like browser local storage) can serve comparable purposes.

2. Cookie Types We Use

We group cookies on this site into three categories:

3. The Microsoft Advertising UET Tag

This site uses Microsoft's Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag for advertising measurement and conversion tracking. Microsoft acts as our analytics and advertising technology provider for this purpose. You can review Microsoft's own privacy practices and manage ad personalization directly through Microsoft's advertising privacy controls.

4. Consent Mechanism and Default State

Advertising and analytics cookies are disabled by default on every visit. The UET tag loads on page load only to register that default-denied state — it does not begin measuring you until you actively consent. On your first visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Decline. Selecting "Decline," or simply dismissing the banner without choosing "Accept," keeps non-essential cookies off. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" button shown in the corner of every page.

5. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, where your browser or a browser extension sends it, as a standing, automatic opt-out of non-essential cookies — if GPC is on, we never show the consent banner asking you to grant, and advertising cookies stay off regardless of any later click. We distinguish this from the older, non-standardized "Do Not Track" header, which we do not currently treat as an automatic opt-out because it lacks a consistent technical definition across browsers.

6. Browser and Third-Party Controls

In addition to the controls on this site, you can manage or delete cookies through your browser's own settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly through industry tools such as optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Revisions are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
